Scholarships

Established in 2019 by Dr. T. Jann Caison-Sorey in memory of her parents, this need-based $5,000 award will be awarded to an African American male, who is a known descendant of enslaved Americans, enrolled in an accredited US medical (MD ONLY) school for the 2021-22 academic year, and who was either born in or is a current resident in the State of Michigan. The selected scholar must be in good standing academically, have a demonstrated financial need, and has interest in practicing Primary Care Medicine.
