What is the Impact of Implementation of a Sport’s Medicine Program on the Health Care Career Aspirations and Health Literacy of Middle and High School Students

Following participation in the UPSMA, first choice as health care profession for intended career was increased by 14%. Furthermore, only 54% of students included a professional sport as an intended career choice. Additionally, when asked to name health care career paths, students, on average, were able to name six health care career paths.
