There are many programs working on increasing food security, but there is an increasing demand for these programs to be long-lasting.
Working with specific populations affected by food insecurity will help decrease further marginalization of vulnerable populations.
Increasing food availability can help decrease risks of chronic disease, mental health and substance use disorders.
