Though most of are staff at SBCHC feel as though they will be able to provide care and be able to have necessary conversations with patients with regards to HIV prevention and treatment, there is still an alarming number who are unaware of the HIV treatment and preventative services that are available. We propose the opt-out method to HIV testing which by default will offer testing to a patient upon an annual wellness check up as well an option to decline.
