Inquiry Area: Generativity in medical education is imperative to realize the social mission.
Participants stressed that new generations of care professionals must understand the historical contexts of medical education, particularly those shaped by the experiences of marginalized populations, so they can navigate today’s system with clarity rather than discouragement. They also highlighted the importance of sustained intergenerational dialogue to surface shared values and reaffirmed a collective responsibility to design more inclusive, compassionate systems and practices for a future generation that current leaders may never see.
