On Tuesday, June 13, NMF President and CEO Michellene Davis, Esq. accepting Crain’s prestigious “Showing the Way” award for diversity and inclusion before an audience of New York City business and civic leaders. The awards are a component of Crain’s 2023 All Together commitment, and celebrate individuals and businesses that are leading by example and holding themselves and others accountable for diversity and inclusion initiatives.

The awards highlight the people and companies fostering diversity, inclusion and belonging across New York City, said Fred Gabriel, Crain’s publisher and executive editor.

“Do not wait to attempt to recruit a diversity candidate to begin bringing about equitable
practices in your institution,” said Michellene Davis. “You should be trying to create an environment that
cultivates inclusion.”
