December 2024 Journey Matters

Rachel Buckle-Rashid, M.D., is a Hospitalist Pediatrician at Children’s National Hospital, as well as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. After growing up in Georgia as a teen, she attended Princeton University for her undergraduate concentration in Psychology and Gender and Sexuality Studies. She received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Brown University, where she was a Chief Resident. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Buckle-Rashid has published research on structural racism and its clinical implications. Now her research is focused on bioethics and public policy ethics.
