Dr. Art Kaemmer
It is with deep appreciation that National Medical Fellowships (NMF) honors the exceptional legacy of a dedicated leader.
In the realms of philanthropy and medicine, some figures’ impact resonates far beyond their years. Dr. Art Kaemmer, a venerable force in both domains, passed away in January of 2024 at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his pediatric patients and medical education.
Dr. Kaemmer’s journey was marked by a deep-rooted commitment to the betterment of others. His tenure as an NMF board member for more than 30 years, serving as chair for over a decade, and as a longstanding leadership donor epitomized this commitment.
Through his steadfast philanthropic support of NMF and other organizations, Dr. Kaemmer helped pave the path for diverse medical students, breaking down barriers and opening doors to a brighter future. His gift of time and treasure to NMF was remarkable. A donor for more than 30 years, he invested over $261,000 in the organization’s programs. As a final act of generosity, Dr. Kaemmer’s estate provided a generous gift to NMF to expand its impact and sustain the organization through endowment.
