  Jennifer Diaz
Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Class of 2020
PCLP Site: La Clinica de La RazaJennifer Diaz is a medical student at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. As an undergraduate she led charitable fundraising among pre-medical students, helping support care for an impoverished community in Peru. She has also conducted research in breast cancer outcomes disparities in Latin American women. In medical school she has led the Family Medicine Interest Group, volunteering with underserved populations and in response to Hurricane Maria. She is also active with student wellness and the Walk with a Doc Chapter at PHSU, promoting healthy lifestyles for the medical community. She is committed in providing patient-centered care and improving the health of her future patients.
  Tammy Hoang

PCLP Site: La Clinica de La RazaA medical student at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Tammy Hoang is committed to working with underserved populations and addressing health equity. Throughout her undergraduate years, she volunteered with the Black Hypertension Project, coordinating mobile hypertension clinics serving African American neighborhoods in Los Angeles. She has also worked as a medical assistant. She now continues her community outreach efforts through a barbershop in Madison, where she helps the African American male community navigate the healthcare system. She also serves as the Equity and Diversity Representative for her medical school class, advocating to increase diversity and promote inclusion within the medical school.
